Dealing with the BillsJuly 16th, 2007
Today I mail out my response to the irs, they say we owe $1194, I am requesting they set up a payment plan of $100 a month, hopefully they will. I need to get this capital one out of the way, I need to catch up one more house payment that has been lingering forever, the electric is due, car insurance and the commonwealth is taking 10% of my husbands check 4 more times. Geeesh, it never ends here. I have been reading other posts that have actually totalled up and have been showing their progress on their bills. I really need to put it all in black and white for myself to look at. It seems everytime I make a plan and make progress, something comes along like this irs bill. Trying to catch everything else up is keeping me from saving right now.

Zoo dayJuly 12th, 2007
We are leaving for the zoo in about an hour, 3 year is so excited, of course we are too.
Back from the zoo, 3 year old loved it, I have blisters on my feet. I probably won’t go again, it was not worth the drive, 2 hours there and it has not changed much since I was there over 30 years ago. We had a nice family day out, came home and cooked out. Nice day together.

New Post at other blog

http://thehub.yesdebtfree.org

I am a little ticked about this court hearing. This is the second time that I have scheduled off work and they have requested a continuance. I feel like calling them up and rescheduling my payment. See how they like it, I was gonna tell them since I missed two days of work for hearings, I don’t have the balance to pay them, so I will need a continuance for my payment plan. I set up two payments that have really cut me short to get this crap out of the way and they pull this. It is getting just a little irritating at this point. Don’t know why they don’t just drop it already, they already got one fat payment.

Good Morning

Sunday, July 8, 2007

Ok guys, I have made a decision to take our 3 year old on a zoo trip. I managed to come up with two free tickets at work, some perk that someone was not going to use, so I am saving $20, the parking is free and it will cost me about $10 in gas, another $20 for lunch. We haven’t done anything like this in so long, in fact this will be our first family outing. Should be fun.
We adopted our grand baby in January of 2004, she was 8 months old at the time, she has been a blessing. My husband and I have been looking forward to this zoo trip for quite some time, sounds silly, need an excuse to go. We haven’t been since 3rd grade. THAT IS A REALLY LONG TIME, LOL. I will try to post pictures when we get back, we shall see how that goes. My photography skills leave something to be desired and my digital camera is a cheapy. Our trip is on 7/12, will update this post when we get back, Our baby says she will protect us from the gorillas, ha ha. SHE BETTER, She is fearless. (at least at home).

Linking, Networking & Blogging
I am a fairly new blogger trying to get traffic onto my blog. Reading through some articles, I ran across.
These blogs were really easy to understand and put everything in plain english. There is alot there to read and absorb, I will be updating this post as I continue to delve in this mass pile of information. Good Stuff! http://www.lzzr.com & http://www.doshdosh.com/
I am part of a wonderful community at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/

As I read some of the recent posts on debtcc it takes me back to when I first came here. I was scared and desperate. I felt hopeless, I was tired of the nasty phone calls that was coming from the collectors. I have not reached my goals yet, but am well on my way. I am still one mortgage payment behind, but working on it. I think each day, if I could get that one caught up, it would increase my credit score. I am getting there slowly but surely. Takes time and when I am almost there, something else pops up. These two lawsuits are driving me crazy, so time consuming. I am learning from you how to deal with it. Hiring a lawyer would only be a further set back.
So I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for your support. I consider you friends and advisors. I appreciate your time and patience with me. You have soothed my soul more than once. You have taken a spirit that was so down and made it courageous and strong. Able to pick up the phone and fight back. You have put words like “debt validation”, “dispute” and “Paid in full” into my vocabulary. I don’t fear the phone anymore. You have gotten me through 10 payday loans, two pets dying, and now working my way through two lawsuits. None of which has been an easy task.
I now have the strength to help others and hopefully lead them in the right direction. I try to stay involved as much as possible in the forums. Whether it be to welcome a new member or to help solve a payday loan issue. It seems my experience is leaning more towards lawsuits now. I would not be at this point in my life today if I did not find this forum. I greatly appreciate all you have done and will continue to stay on be a part of this wonderful community.

New post at my other blog describes the feeling of being in a mental prison, you can read more on it by following this lead,
Debtor’s Prison? July 6th, 2007 I was in my cubicle yesterday at work and I heard a familiar voice, it was the boss at the payday lending company that is still in our town. I was kind of hoping that he finally came to us for service, a new job. Read More: http://thehub.yesdebtfree.org

Today, I am just visiting other blogs and trying to figure out how to more involved with the communities. I have another blog at http://thehub.yesdebtfree.org which I created as a way of dealing with payday lending problems that I had. I started this blog after finding a great community at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/ , a wonderful group of people in this forums discussing their debt issues in depth and sharing their experiences. This forum pulled me through a rut, and put me on my way to debt recovery.

Struggling with debt

I have been struggling with debt for a few years now. Some mistakes that I have made in my past have come back to haunt me. I am attempting to be back on track by October, 2007. I am making great headway. Just wanted to start this blog with a list of little things that I have done that have helped me out considerably.

1. Clipping coupons: Never thought I would do this, but hey I am saving tons of money doing the clipping. I only grocery shop at the stores that offer the double, or triple coupons and also offer a discount card. I also swap coupons at work. I have saved on average $10-$15 a week. I have the local grocery store ads mailed to me and set down the night before shopping and organize my coupons with my list. Keep your receipts, they show your total savings on them, add them up at the end of the month, you will be amazed. I know I was.

2. Make one trip: I am not one to run all the time, I try to do at least one chore a night after work. Grocery shopping is thursday after work, new sale starts and I am not wasting the gas to run out on the weekend.

3. Take a calculator with you, make a budget and stick to it. I really used to get tired of hearing this, but guess what. IT WORKS! Make a list and stick to it. You won't miss what you were not planning on anyway.

4. Hit the sales, buy shoes, clothing and etc. when it is buy one, get one free or 1/2 off.

5. Shop online, I am an http://www.ebay.com freak, besides you get so many different styles that no one else has there at a bargain price. http://www.amazon.com isn't just books anymore, I have saved a mint, especially at christmas time on this site.

More to come
